I was just thinking about this today.
would it be possible to add a link in the users profile to ignore the user?
from their profile you can send them a private message, send them points, so why not ignore them. I think it makes sense to have that option
But there are several types of ignore, would you put them all on their page?
not at all.
you know when you go to ignore a user from the main page (like when someone sends you a message and you just hit ignore), it would be like just like that.
so under send private message and send points, their'd be an option called click here to ignore this user, you click on that and get the same affect you would if you ignored someone from a quicknote they sent.
the whole reason I suggested it in the first place, is that I find it weird that in a user's profile, you can interact with them by sending points and messages, you just can't ignore them
imagine a facebook profile where you can message a user, block someone, report them, but can't add them as a friend.

Hmmm, I think this does make sense.
If enough users are interested in this feature, we can bring it up to admins and see what they think.

I just thought this suggestion was good.
I think it should fit there. It's a lot easier than copy and pasting the username, only to get the wrong username. I know two on here named Sky, and only 1 did I want to Ignore. However, they are both Ignored. Kind of a bummer. If this new thing is set up, you ignore the right person, and do not risk offending the wrong person. So much simpler!

This does sound like a useful feature.
Well, you don't need to copy and paste to ignore someone now.
It is as easy as a button click on the correct page, but this will put it handyer.

seems a few users like it so far
having ignore on the user profile page should brings you to another page, where it ask what you want to ignore that person for. for example, ignoring that person on the board might be different from ignoring the person on quicknote, or on private mail, etc etc.
i would also like to suggest that if you ignore someone completely, which means, qn, the board, private mails etc, the site will authomaticly block that person from accessing your information and you them. that is only fair.

when you click on a profile, it opens in a new window and you can see it
unless, their was, when you click it, it does nothing
or it says user can not be found. lol
or you know when you try to access an account and it's disabled?

well, if you ignore on that person, it is only fair that you can't see that person's information. if not, why bother? what can happen though is that, even a person ignoring you, but they can still stalk you on zone with your user profile, and when you log in and how many board post you have posted etc.
If you ignore that person completely, which means (ignoring everything) and when you retrieve that person information, the site can generate something says "information can't be retrieve because of your ignore setting on such and such profile. click here to remove him or her from your ignore list or back to main menu" etc
That makes sense to me. There are some stalkers on here who are quite good at working around the normal blocks.
